Jeremiah 23.29
Is not my word burning like fire,
says the LORD, and like a hammer,
the rock is shattered?

“Hit the ice!”
A vision in prayer

I was in my bedroom and saw the following vision in prayer: I was in a place that looked like a cave. The best way to describe it is a stalactite cave made of ice. Everything was made of ice: floor, walls and ceiling. The ceiling was so high that the cave seemed spacious. Long icicles hung down from the ceiling. It felt like I was in another world or dimension. It reminded me of the animated film The Ice Queen and so I looked around and realized how beautiful but dark and lifeless this place seemed at the same time. Suddenly I saw a hammer in my right hand.

A voice rang out with the words: “Hit the ice!”

I immediately recognized the voice of God and because of the authority and power in the voice, I knew immediately that it was an order. Without giving it a second thought, I hit the ice with the hammer. It was almost effortless and after a few blows the ice shattered and a golden box appeared. When I lifted the lid of the box, I saw various treasures inside. I was completely amazed and impressed at the same time. Although one box had already been opened, I had the urge to continue hitting other places in the cave. So I effortlessly continued to hit the ice in the cave. More and more boxes appeared.

Each box I opened contained a different treasure.
There were books, scrolls, gold, diamonds and all kinds of precious stones.

The contents of the boxes were so vast that I was unable to see all of them. As I gazed at the treasures in the gold boxes, I was overcome with the impression that all these treasures had always been meant for me. I realized that they were hidden treasures and that I had to claim them for myself. Out of this impulse, I took the boxes in my mind and carried them to my physical room.

In the meantime, I fell asleep.
The next morning I went back into prayer and asked God for a revelation about this vision. During prayer, I received this: The vision is about the blessings of God.
The enemy comes like a thief into our property. He comes to take everything. Since we don’t know that it is our property, we let him.

It is written:
“My people are dying for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4.6)

In real life, we would never allow such a thing.
If a burglar came into our house and took our property, any sensible person would act immediately and call the police. Protection systems would be installed immediately, cameras would be fitted, better locks would be used, doors and windows would be secured and everything would be locked. Anyone who has had this experience knows that this results in a breach of security and can end in fear, trauma and death.

The enemy has lost his rights over the children of God.
God wants us to know our identity in Christ, which brings with it the following blessings:

Salvation – Healing – Deliverance – Gifts – Wisdom – Knowledge – Revelation – Blessed Marriage – Love – Financial Blessings – Peace – Joy – Protection – Preservation and so much more.

We are heirs of his death on the cross and inherit the forgiveness of our sins. We are heirs of his resurrection from death and inherit the new life today. We are heirs of his reign, sit at the right hand of God in heaven and are therefore already citizens of heaven today. If we do not take action, all these treasures will remain in the ice.

God invites us to take the hammer and claim our rights.

“Is not my word burning like fire,
Says the LORD, and like a hammer,
The rock shattered?”
Jeremia 23.29

Let us rise up in prayer and smash every block of ice with the Word of God.

“and I will give you hidden treasures and hidden riches, so that you may know that it is I, the LORD, who have called you by name, the God of Israel”.
Jesaja 45.3
