The harvest is ripe
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
Dear brothers and sisters!
There is an atmosphere of uncertainty and fear in the world, characterized by various global challenges. The COVID-19 crisis has caused deep anxiety, ranging from fear for one’s health to concern for economic stability and the well-being of loved ones. The global measures have led to social isolation, financial difficulties and psychological distress. At the same time, the effects of environmental pollution are increasingly being felt. In addition, many have fears about natural disasters, food shortages and the future of the planet. Political unrest, conflicts and wars are increasing the general concern for peace and security. In this time of change and uncertainty, many people are longing for peace, hope and salvation.
Today I would like to write about the words of Jesus:
He told them, ‘The harvest is huge, but the workers are few. So ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest field.
Luke 10:2
“As you go, preach this message, “The kingdom of heaven has come near.”
Heal those who are ill. Bring those who are dead back to life. Make those who have skin diseases “clean” again. Drive out demons. You have received freely, so give freely.”
Matth 10:7-8
Jesus calls us to go out into the world and proclaim the gospel. It is the good news that salvation and eternal life are available to all who believe. It also means that God wants to give everyone his heart – his love.
Paul writes that we all have different gifts but are of the same Spirit (1 Cor 12:4-11). Each of us has something unique to contribute and it is our common mission to bring God’s love into the world.
I had a dream during the Corona period that made me realize the urgency of our mission. I dreamt that people were on the run after a terrible event, but I didn’t know which one. A divine rescue ship was coming from the sky, but the people couldn’t see it. I shouted to them to get into God’s rescue ship, but they got into small boats on the water that had holes in them, but they didn’t see them, and I knew they would sink because of that. I screamed even louder, but no one could see or hear me.
This dream is both an encouragement and a warning to me – and a call from God to us about how urgent it is to rise up and be ready to work according to the abilities God has given us. Many people are looking for salvation, but they don’t see the salvation that God offers them. They get into “boats” that cannot save them – material goods, false ideologies that do not correspond to God’s truths, empty promises, etc. -everything the world offers them. It is our task to call out loudly and show them the way.
The story of Noah came to mind in this context. God had offered an ark for salvation, but apart from Noah and his family, no one else got into the Rescue ship.
For me personally, it was a very bad experience in the dream that people couldn’t hear me and I knew they were going to die. There was so much despair and pain that I felt in the dream.
In Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus says:
‘Enter God’s kingdom through the narrow gate. The gate is large and the road is wide that leads to ruin. Many people go that way.
But the gate is small and the road is narrow that leads to life. Only a few people find it.
This illustrates the importance of choosing the right path that leads to eternal life.
So let us raise our voices and boldly proclaim the gospel. Let us be the ones who help people to see the divine rescue ship. It’s not about whether our commitment to the kingdom of God seems big or small, but that each of us is called to be a laborer in God’s harvest. Everyone is important.
In another dream, God showed me that I had helped with the harvest of other brothers and sisters. This was a wheat harvest that I had spread out in the siblings’ yard. I then went to my own wheat harvest. I thought about how I could process the wheat so that it would become food for the people.
Sometimes God will lead us to other brothers and sisters to encourage them in their ministries, gifts and talents. Because often the enemy will try to hinder ministries, so we desperately need each other’s prayers and support.
Let’s work together to fill the world with the love and hope that only Jesus can give.
We are called to preach, proclaim and teach the Word of God, for by hearing the Word comes faith (Romans 10:17). Paul teaches us in his letters that we all have different gifts, but are united by the same Spirit. “There are different gifts, but it is one and the same Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11). Each of us is uniquely qualified to contribute to the building of the body of Christ.
Paul continues: “For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so also is Christ.” (1 Corinthians 12:12)
We are called to serve in our gifts and share the message of salvation.
So let us use our gifts and proclaim the gospel so that people can be saved by hearing the word of God. “So faith comes from hearing the message, preaching through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not let up.” (Galatians 6:9).
May the Lord strengthen us and give us courage to share His message of hope and salvation.
Here is what I am commanding you to do. Be strong and brave. Do not be afraid. Do not lose hope. I am the LORD your God. I will be with you everywhere you go.’
Joshua 1:9
Dear brothers and sisters!
We are facing a great harvest, a harvest of souls who hunger for salvation and truth. Jesus himself said to his disciples: “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37). These words of Jesus reach us today with the same urgency. There are so many people who have not yet heard the gospel, so many who are searching. Basically, they are searching for God, who has planted the longing for him in their hearts – and they are not aware of it.
Unfortunately, many people are distracted by the temptations of the enemy, who suggests that they can achieve peace, salvation and well-being through their own efforts and strength. As a result, they become spiritually “deaf and blind” – as in a dream – and can no longer hear the voice of God. God, however, goes after each individual and knocks on their heart’s door.
However, the truth is that many live in restlessness, depression, worry and fear.
The lifeboat is a symbol that salvation is available for everyone. This means that Jesus’ death and resurrection and the salvation it brought are for ALL people.
In the above dream, I was shown the urgency of our mission.
We are the messengers who bring the word of life.
We are called to live as sons and daughters of God and to fill the world around us with hope and point to salvation through Jesus. For as it says in Scripture, “For the whole creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.” (Romans 8:19). We are called to be part of this revelation by reaching out to the world with love and compassion and crying out to the lost that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). For it is not only we humans who long for redemption, but also the whole of creation. May we be aware that our actions have an impact on the world around us and that as children of God we are called to bring freedom and glory. Recognizing this, may we consciously seek to fill the world around us with the love and light of Christ.
May this message encourage, stir everyone up and remind us that each of us has a great role in the harvest. Each of us is called to be a light in the darkness, salt of the earth and an instrument in the hand of the Lord.
The world is full of people hungry for hope, love and redemption. They are like fields ready to be sown and harvested. We are called – as sons and daughters of the Most High – to go out and bring in the fruits of the harvest, remembering that God is the LORD of the harvest.
Let us not delay or hold back. It is time for us as sons and daughters of God to arise and walk in authority in our destiny.
May the Holy Spirit guide and strengthen us, according to Zech 4:6: “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit! Says the Lord of hosts.” Amen.
You always show me the path of life. You will fill me with joy when I am with you. You will make me happy for ever at your right hand.
