Where is your focus?

Where is your focus?

In November 2023, I had a dream. I was in the sea, where there were also other people. In front of the sea, along the beach, there was a high wall. I felt the waves getting higher and higher and recognized the danger.
I immediately decided to leave this place. So I made a move to jump over the wall to safety. It happened supernaturally by my decision. When I looked out to sea, I saw that there were still people in the water. The waves were high, but none of them could see the danger. Suddenly I saw two sharks swimming towards the crowd. They started chasing people back and forth in the water, but they didn’t attack. Everyone was scared and swimming back and forth in panic to escape the danger.
I stood on the wall with other people and we stretched out our hands to pull them out. But the panic and fear were too great, so they couldn’t see our hands. Finally, a young man saw my hand and I pulled him up.

As a woman, there was no way I could have pulled him up with my own strength, but by God’s power it was possible. It seemed as if it was God himself who was stretching out his hand.
I hugged this man and we were both glad that he had been saved. It was like being called back to life from death.

I would like to encourage you to keep your focus on God.

No matter what challenges you are going through, whether it’s your finances, your marriage, your health, your job, or something else, whatever – don’t look at the sharks in your life that make you feel like you are at their mercy. The enemy always wants to make it seem like there’s no way out. He works with fear and hopelessness. He wants to manipulate our thoughts with his lies and blind our vision so that we lose focus on God’s solution.

“Cast all your cares on him, for he cares for you! Be sober, be vigilant! Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
1 Peter 5.7-8

He has lost his rights over you, Jesus Christ has defeated the enemy and put him under your feet. Every time you feel fear in your life, it is an intimidation of the enemy.
“A thief comes only to kill, steal and destroy. But I bring life in abundance.”
John 10.10

Fear is the enemy’s weapon – be vigilant in spirit and recognize the hand of God that is stretched out towards you and grasp it! Also reach out to those who are tossed to and fro and do not recognize the danger. If you feel like you are in this sea right now and the waves are crashing over you, use the height and momentum of the waves in your favor and get out of there – God will turn your circumstance around for good!

We have a God who parts the sea, He makes the impossible possible. God uses every circumstance so that we can learn in it, because everything must serve us for good.

“For with you I can storm walls, and with my God I can leap over walls.”
2 Samuel 22.30

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.
John 10.27-29

What voice do you hear?

“Submit yourselves to God and resist the devil. Then he must flee from you”
James 4.7

Yes, we resist the devil and he must flee. We listen to what our Father wants to tell us, we do not allow ourselves to be distracted. And sometimes worshiping God is a battle, because the enemy is fighting for the throne of your heart. Don’t let fear become your focus. God dwells and is enthroned in the worship of His people. Worshiping God, fellowshipping with our brothers and sisters, and serving one another helps to redirect your focus.

“But Moses’ hands became heavy, so they took a stone and laid it down for him to sit on. Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on each side. So his hands remained raised until the sun went down”
Exodus 17.12

Keep your focus on God, even if you don’t see the breakthroughs yet. Don’t grow weary in your faith.

You are more than an overcomer; you have the supernatural provision of God; you are the heir, be aware of who you are in Christ: you are the SON, you are the DAUGHTER, you have the DNA-Christ, you are the HEAD and not the tail, no matter what is out in the world, no matter what terrible news reaches you, you are under the umbrella of the Almighty and the Lord is your refuge.

If God is for you, who can be against you?
NOBODY

“For I am persuaded that neither angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the Love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8.38-39

“Since we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4.18

That is why we do not allow ourselves to be distracted by what is so visibly troubling us at the moment, but instead focus on what is still invisible. For the visible will pass away, but the invisible will remain forever. Be encouraged and hold on to the promises of God.

The word is like a double-edged sword:
Pray it, proclaim it, meditate on it,
prophesy it over yourself and your loved ones.

What is decisive?
I immediately recognized the danger in the dream and made a conscious decision to leave the place of danger as quickly as possible and turn my focus to the solution. In my decision, God was able to act and supernaturally jump on that high wall with me. This decision was life-saving and from the wall I was able to see the plight of the other people and pull the man out of the water. In the changed position of my gaze, the circumstance of need was beneath my feet. My focus was no longer my own need. I was able to look away from myself and help someone else.

What is your focus on?
Where do you feel trapped?

Decide today to leave the place of your condition and put your focus on Jesus and His promises.

I pray for you and hope you are encouraged by this word, Shalom.
